قامت لميس ووفاء الزعل بتأسيس الاوركسترا الكندية العربية وأصبحت الآن منظمة خيرية، فهي تضم موسيقيين من جميع الأعمار والخلفيات الذين يجمعون بين الفن والثقافة العربية التي أتوا بها من بلادهم إلى ساحة الفنون الكندية. تشتهر الاوركسترا الكندية العربية بالعزف على الكمان والطبلة والبيانو مع القانون وكذلك العزف على العود فهم يقدمون مجموعة متنوعة من الفعاليات على مدار العام، وهدفهم إرسال رسائل السلام والمحبة إلى العالم.
Lamis and Wafaa Al-Zaeel founded the Canadian Arabic Orchestra, now officially recognized as a charitable organization. It brings together musicians of all ages and backgrounds who share a common passion for both art and Arab culture, bringing the rich musical traditions of their homelands to the Canadian arts scene. The Canadian Arabic Orchestra is renowned for its performances on the violin, tabla, and piano, accompanied by the qanun, as well as the oud. They offer a diverse range of events throughout the year, with a mission to convey messages of peace and love to the world.

My summer has been made brighter by enjoying the orchestra at the Mississauga World Music Festival and other live music events in the city. The music is excellent and the community is friendly. Keep up the great work and I hope more people will discover your fabulous orchestra. Highly recommend.

Canadian Arabic Orchestra SAVED my life. Their events are the closest I can get to traveling back to the middle east. I really appreciate how they have allowed me to re-do my whole middle eastern experience and make it better since I actually had a tough time back when I was living in Saudi Arabia a few years ago. Now I no longer have a hatred of my own identity and I appreciate being arab more than anything because of them. I really love Canadian Arabic Orchestra and I’m so glad they exist here in Canada.

Words can’t explain feelings but their voices and talents can explain a whole country of the deep old music of the Middle Eastern Syria, the hearts of all music.

My daughter has been with CAO for about 5 years now and is a member of the youth orchestra. I drive from Ajax to Mississauga and my return on investment (time, money, energy..etc) makes it 1000% worth while, and I'm proud to be part of such a caring and purposeful organization, with top notch staff, management and members. Keep up the great work my CAO family and on to bigger and better things in our Arabic and Canadian community.
