The food was close to authentic, but something about the rice in the lamb shank tasted really bad. I don’t know what it was but it had a horrible taste. The lamb shank (by itself) was soft and super tasty, I was impressed. The om ali was super flavourful with nuts and coconut in a creamy stew— just needed to be a bit more sweet. The hawawshi was also very tasty and had a nice onion and meaty taste. The shisha was good compared to other shisha hotspots we have been to, it had a nice strong flavour. The service was great and the servers are very helpful— they speak Arabic as well! The store owner is also very kind. The atmosphere was great, perfect for the night time with friends.

Visited today from vancouver after hearing great reviews about it. Was completely blown away by the amazing service by the whole team. Food was the best quality you can ever get compared to other egyptian restaurants. Makes you feel like you’re eating food from egypt. Definitely recommend coming here!

The food is amazing here. Very tender and juicy meat and the bread is fresh and goes well. I wish they had given little bit more of it. Ambiance cud use a face lift, but I love the vibe. Btw, veggies options are good, and glad to see an abundance of em.

Had a wonderful experience with my friends last night and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the food that we had ordered. It was filling and delicious, so I didn’t complain about the price. The service from the employees was excellent and they were both very generous. The atmosphere was great as someone was celebrating a birthday and others were enjoying their shisha. Would recommend checking this place out! Ended up paying $31 excluding tip for my food which was a Reyash with rice, bottle of water, and 1/3 of a Zaataar.

Probably one of the most authentic experience of flavours and taste of Egyptian Cuisine with a home cooked meal taste & fresh flavours. You can taste the purity & freshness of ingredients in every dish you choose to try. Mama Fatuma & entire team at Karioka makes it a very home like experience to dine in and enjoy the delicious food. Live Tajin experience, variety of food & BBQ’s on charcoal grill gives you a great authentic taste. Shisha are also made with some great skills 👍🏻 Very high quality flavours. Have a complete experience from their extensive menu starting from fresh juices, specials, breakfast all the way to desserts & more. Highly recommended for amazing food & hospitality … Special mention of Obaid for his great service & special care!
