I left this school around 4 years ago, and my experience was absolutely traumatizing. I'm surprised that this school is still running, why is this being allowed? The vice principal is a very high ego, stuck up person who cares about no one but herself and her sons who are in the same school. Inequality, favourtism and insults is all this school is known for, solely because of this woman. The principal though, don't even get me started. All he cares about is his money. The very rare times that I had actually seen nice teachers in the school, they'd be removed shortly after, because his treatment towards his staff who actually knew his morals and disgusting plans was insane. He'd treat them like garbage in front of students. The only staff he'd keep are ones who only go with his way, even if it is wrong, and add to it. I'm glad to see more students and parents are speaking out in the reviews, warning others to not come here. I wish these reviews existed when my parents were first admitting me to the school, because at that time, all the reviews looked great (half the good reviews are the cruel staff). My childhood wouldn't have been ruined, my middle school years wouldn't have been lost to a completely traumatizing school. Even after leaving the school, I dealt with great social anxiety entirely because of my experience there. It took me a heck of a long time to recover, and I'm writing this to warn other parents who are now thinking of sending their kids here. You'll be left with nothing but the regret that you even chose to send your kid here in the first place. Get this school shut down, it shouldn't even exist.

Terrible school. Left around 2 years ago and I’m glad my parents took me out. Horrible teaching system, too lenient, which may not seem bad but it impacted my education in a very drastic way. And don’t get me started with the principle!! He gets my younger brother in trouble all the time for small things. My brother could be just laughing and having a good time and the principal would punish him for that. And yes I understand that there has to be order, but not to the point he’s making a child feel bad for expressing his feelings, literally the worst thing that could happen to a child. And you know what else is funny? The fact they throw children into the parking lot and call it “recess”, I understand there isn’t much funds, but they can atleast be more apparent of the kids safety. I remember when I was in the school there were only a couple of teachers whom I actually looked up to, but there were others that made my life miserable. One teacher in particular would get me and my bestfriend in trouble just for existing in the class. Overall this school is garbage and I don’t feel bad saying that, I’ll give it 3/10 for the fact they actually take the students to pray.

I've been prompted numerous times to share my thoughts on this school, given that several of my family members attend. Having dropped them off on multiple occasions, I've observed a blend of positive and negative aspects that shape my overall perception. First and foremost, some of the teachers at this school are truly remarkable. It's heartening to witness their dedication as they go above and beyond, dipping into their own pockets to provide gifts and materials for the class. The younger teachers, in particular, exhibit a commendable level of kindness. However, my experience with the administration has been a bit of a mixed bag. While they excel in managing interactions with other students, I've noticed a touch of nepotism and biased favoritism when it comes to their own offspring. It's an aspect that raises concerns about fairness within the school's leadership. The curriculum aligns with the government standards, but there seems to be a trade-off, with less emphasis on recreational activities for the students. The pressure for academic excellence is palpable, making teachers who incorporate fun and engaging educational games stand out as real assets. On a more personal note, I find the prayers at the masjid and the inconsistency of the imams to be a downside. The promises made by the imams often fall short, creating a sense of frustration among the community. Additionally, my biggest gripe lies with the MAH (Muslim Association of Hamilton), which, in my observation, prioritizes financial gains over the welfare of the school. Having been a donor in the past, I pulled out upon realizing the disproportionate allocation of funds to the MAH rather than the school itself. Lastly, there's an interesting perspective on teacher qualifications. While some complaints label certain teachers as "unqualified," I find it important to consider the alternative – public schools where, as some argue, children may be exposed to topics that some parents find objectionable. In conclusion, ISH has its strengths and weaknesses. Outstanding teachers, a challenging curriculum, and concerns about administrative fairness and financial priorities create a complex picture. Each family must weigh these factors based on their own priorities and values.

The after-school Quran classes are a disaster. These guys are so unorganized and unprofessional. The authorities need to take notice of this and revamp the whole system. Women running the show with volunteer teachers, these guys aren't serious about teaching Quran. They just want money.

This was the fakest school i’ve ever been to, the staff is so rude and the student here are so disrespectful and fake. some teachers are nice, but not all of them. the principal doesnt care about anyone but his cameras. they get kids introuble without hearing the full story first. in my 6 years of being in this school, i’ve only seen other kids get introuble, never seen the teachers kids get introuble ever. when i graduated 2 years ago, only the teachers kids got awards for best student, never anyone else. don’t send ur kids here. ever.
