The Alhijra Islamic School was founded in 1996, making it the first Islamic educational institution in Manitoba, Canada. The current student population exceeds 245 students. I went there for 9 years, it's a nice school with a good community. The teachers (especially the ones for the younger grades) are very loving and caring. I highly recommend to muslim parents that you take your children to this school. The only problems i would say the school has is the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the small gym, but other than that i think the school is good. I thought i didn't like Al Hijra at first but once i began highschool i realized that it was truly a good experience and i kind of miss it. I wouldn't want to spend those 9 years anywhere else.

I am very happy with Al Hijra Islamic School. It is a great place for my children to learn and grow in a safe and Islamic environment. The teachers are qualified, caring, and dedicated to the students’ success. The curriculum is balanced and comprehensive, covering both academic and religious subjects. The school also offers sports, to enrich the students’ experience. The school community is diverse and supportive, and the parents are involved and cooperative. Al Hijra Islamic School is more than just a school, it is a family. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality Islamic education..

Rules are waaaaaaay too strict . They never acted me back in 2009 because of my learning disabilities, If they really care about Islam and religion then why did it even matter

The bathrooms are horrible and there are to many bad kids there the classrooms are small the toilets are clogged most of the time just a bad school
